About Us

Eugene Youth Cheer was founded in 2024 with the goal of educating, empowering and energizing local youth through the sport of cheerleading. This recreational program is open to Eugene/Springfield area youth enrolled in 3rd through 8th grade. Youth learn a traditional cheer routine that they perform at cheer competitions in January and February.

Cheer is a sport that can have enormous benefits for athletes. It is great for fitness and learning to understand and control your body. It teaches sportsmanship, discipline and leadership. Understanding how to succeed as a member of a team has long-lasting positive implications for work and life. Plus, cheer is fun! We will have a great time dancing, jumping, performing, laughing and playing together – and will support each other when times are challenging.

Eugene Youth Cheer is a great training opportunity for youth hoping to cheer in high school, but it’s a perfect way for anyone to explore their love of cheerleading! Learn more about our specific programs and season on the Season Information page.
